During an era of digital prominence, online shopping plays a big role in today’s society. Junior Grayson Campagna is no stranger to this. Using an online marketplace known as Depop, Campagna has been able to make quite a large profit while simultaneously supplying the public with unique clothing.

It all started in February 2024 when Campagna stumbled across a special t-shirt that caught his eye. After further research, he found that the specific piece was an official Stone Cold Steve Austin promotional shirt from the ‘90s that has been very difficult to find in today’s age. Realizing that this could be something other people are interested in, Campagna started his Depop page and went on to sell the item for $99.

Depop is an online fashion marketplace. Most often used in its mobile app form, Depop serves as a hub for anyone looking to buy or sell clothing from their own personally created pages. Buyers can search for specific types or brands of clothing and are able to leave public reviews on pages they buy from, encouraging sellers to uphold a reliable reputation.

Campagna has consistently built up his page ever since his first sale. Currently, his collection mostly features a variety of vintage and secondhand clothing. These pieces range from high end designer jeans to distressed worker jackets.

His biggest sale to date remains a pair of “Grateful Dead” AMIRI Jeans, which he was able to sell for $1000. After fees, this resulted in a profit of around $850 for Campagna. Sales like these show the true potential of running a page like his.

“If you enjoy the fashion aspect and don’t mind talking to people to make the sale, then I think anybody could get into it,” Campagna said. “You have to stay consistent. I’m out looking for clothes almost everyday.”

Campagna’s consistency and innate eye for spotting unique pieces is the source of his success. His page also features high quality, organized pictures which are likely to draw in more potential buyers.

It’s very easy to sign up and start buying or selling on Depop, making this a viable option for anybody interested in fashion or looking to make some money. Many people close to Campagna have expressed interest in this concept. His brother, Brody, a freshman here at Southern Lehigh, is impressed by his fast success.

“I would say that his hustle is admirable,” Brody Campagna said. “I think he has a strong business mindset and a good sales strategy, and I’m glad he’s able to make money from something he’s interested in.”

As of now, Campagna has made over $2000 profit from just over 20 sales. His page @graycamp06 sits at 5 stars with a number of positive reviews, highlighting his quality, cooperativeness, and shipping. With no sign of slowing down, Grayson Campagna has curated himself a successful online business venture.

He enjoys being creative and is thankful for the outlet writing gives him to express himself and learn more about the school.  “I joined the Spotlight because I have always had an interest in writing and creativity,” Morris said. “Journalism truly is a great way to express ideas and spread those ideas to ensure a society that communicates and is up-to-date with what is going on in the world and what people in the world are thinking about.” Morris is an active student in the Southern Lehigh High School community. In addition to being a member of the Spotlight staff, Morris is also a member of the boys’ soccer team, Fashion Club, and Student Council. He is also very passionate about playing soccer and wants to continue playing on club teams. “I’ll probably attend Temple University, but I am currently undecided with what major I'll choose,” Morris said. “I do know that I want to continue playing soccer with my friends and for a team because soccer has always been a big part of my life.”  During his senior year, Morris started to look back on his high school experience and reflect on the memories he has made. He has enjoyed high school due to the friendships he has made and all the moments of joy he has shared with them.  “I’d have to say that my favorite high school moments all revolve around meeting my best friends that I will probably have for the rest of my life,” Morris said. “I’ve loved the soccer season, thrifting clothes with friends, playing SPUD with my fellow journalists, going to fun school events and, overall, just sharing a bunch of laughs with my boys.”  Morris feels that he had a good outlook on high school throughout the last four years and went through high school with a positive attitude that helped him maintain a mindset with limited stress. This outlook is still a part of his character as he is looking forward to the rest of his school career.  “I always say take it easy and love life,” Morris said. “I feel like my life is still building up to my big moment, and I am ready to accomplish my goals and continue to have fun.”
