As the end of the year rapidly approaches, many Southern Lehigh juniors find themselves receiving laundry list of problems to go along with their already heavy school workload. A fairly general view for most underclassmen is a delusion of how senior year will be incredibly easy and they can just skate by without doing much work. In some respects, they’re right.
How do seniors manage to do so little work? The key word is preparation. Since the year is coming to a close, juniors need to start preparing for senior year.
”Study all the time, don’t slack off at all,” senior Kyle Durics said. “I still stay up till 3 a.m. studying because I haven’t been accepted to college yet.”
This is not to say once you get accepted, you should start to slack off. There are numerous stories of kids who stopped working hard because they got accepted to college.
The reason seniors can be so relaxed is because, once they get accepted, a lot of pressure is off of their shoulders, and their outlook on the rest of the year is overall better.
“Don’t stress about how you look come in [wearing] sweatpants and stuff,” senior Ashley Weaver said. Seniors are entitled to take a few days a week to dress down or, as it’s commonly known, “bum it.”

“Get Mrs. Kern for English!” senior Austin Rivera said. You may not be able to choose your English teacher, but taking grade level college prep classes have their advantages. They often have a lighter load of coursework than AP classes. These classes can give you a break in your day if you do have AP classes to focus on.
Senior year is a time to let all of the hard work you put in pay off, its a time to kick back and relax and enjoy life while you’re still young, after you finish your important work of course.
