When Urban Decay released the Naked 1 and Naked 2 eyeshadow palettes, they created a large following, especially among high school girls. Now the Naked Basics palette has arrived, and the hype stems from the differences between this and the previous two palettes.
The Naked 1 palette was flattering for individuals who preferred warmer shades, and the Naked 2 was flattering for cooler shades. The Naked Basics boasts one thing – matte shades. The palette has four shades that are exclusive to the palette and two that were previously used. It advertises itself as being compatible for both neutral looks and to calm down brighter colors.
Physically, the palette is much more compact than its other counterparts and will easily fit into the palm of your hand. While the Naked 1 and 2 included 12 shadows, the Naked Basics has only six shadows.
At $27, the Naked Basics is more affordable than the Naked 1 and 2, at $50. However, when you consider the fact that it is almost half as much as the first two, the price per shadow is a bit more pricey.
You can currently find the new addition to the craze on Urban Decay’s website, but it will most likely appear at your local Ulta and Sephora in the coming weeks.
