If you are in search of a movie that will make you jump out of your skin, “Mama” is the movie you want to see. Released on January 18, 2013, the seats of the theater were filled to the max with eager moviegoers.
The movie is a thrilling story about two little girls named Victoria and Lily. These sisters are abandoned in the wilderness in a little cabin for about five years when their father crashes their car and disappears.
In this cabin, the kids are raised and taught by a mythical person whom they refer to as “Mama.” The kids are found and are given the chance to start a normal life, but things go terribly wrong in trying to do so.
Sophomore Hanna Mengel thinks that “Mama,” at an hour and forty minutes in length, could have been longer to give it a better ending. However, the movie had enough creepy pop outs to make it feel like it was never-ending.
