“Sisters,” starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler is a notable hit.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are a well-known comedic duo who never fail to impress. This is showcased more than ever in “Sisters,” which was released on December 18. The two actresses star as sisters in this hilarious story of love, betrayal, and partying.

If you are familiar with either actress, you have probably laughed out loud at the witty characters that they have played throughout their careers. (And if you say you haven’t, you’re probably lying.)

Maura Ellis (Poehler) is a nurse who is very concerned with the well-being of others while her sister Kate (Fey) is the “wild child” of the two. When they discover that their parents have sold their childhood home, they decide to have one last party in order to say goodbye to the house where they blossomed into women.

However, Kate agrees to be the “Mom” of the party. She promises Maura to stay sober and watch over everyone as the events of the party unfold. As many of the adults return to the wild party animals that they were known to be in high school, things get a little weird, and a little broken. While Maura struggles to find a relationship, Kate struggles to keep the house in one piece.

This film holds a strong theme behind all of the chaos of the party: family. Despite various conflicts, they are able to overcome the petty drama to create one loving family.

If you are a fan of Poehler and Fey, I strongly recommend that you give this movie a go.  Plus, if you aren’t sold yet, keep in mind that the John Cena, professional wrestler and internet phenomenon, stars in this movie. This story of sisterhood embraces the never-ending bond of family and amplifies the importance of forgiving.
